Emergency responses from police at Wynberg’s flat early Wednesday morning led to drug confiscations that captured both mandrax and tik and cocaine substances, leading to a foreign national arrested.
Anti-Economic Crime Task Team and Provincial Counterfeit and Illicit Policing Team performed the operation.
Drugs seized during pre-dawn raid
The law enforcement personnel initiated their Grand Central Flats on Main Road investigation at approximately 5 AM.
The operation led by police spokesperson Aneliswe Manyana revealed a total of 365 Boss mandrax tablets and a tik weight of 130 grams together with 20 grams of cocaine and 100 ecstasy pills as well as 9 medium-sized crushed mandrax tablets.
The seized drugs possess thousands of rands worth which represents a prominent success in the anti-drug trafficking operations.
Foreign national arrested and set to appear in court
Wynberg SAPS apprehended a 43-year-old foreign national at the location for drug possession and drug trafficking offenses.
