The culprits stole around 200 sheep from the house while firing their weapons into its window at 9 p.m. The female resident of the house received critical injuries when a bullet struck her throughout the gunfight. Hospital staff received the injured woman after she had first received medical attention at the neighbor’s clinic.
Livestock recovery
The police started their investigation of stock theft by answering the report on Saturday evening before beginning their search activities.
Officer personnel working with local community members tracked down stolen sheep at Bhelekence to a steep river valley on Sunday afternoon. Agencies retrieved 145 live sheep together with 24 deceased sheep from the recovery site.
