The video shows Mahamba seated on the road, while the vehicle repeatedly drives over him. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene. Gauteng police are still searching for the motorist involved in the Zimbabwean man’s killing.
Activist Moreboys Munetsi Steps In
Munetsi, a lawyer and successful businessman, has provided legal support to Mahamba’s family. He confirmed that they have repatriated the body for burial in Zimbabwe. Additionally, Munetsi shared that the Zimbabwean community in Johannesburg began raising funds for the funeral.
The Love Triangle and Confrontation
The fatal confrontation reportedly stemmed from an altercation between Mahamba, his ex-girlfriend Ntombi, and her current partner, a Ugandan man. Ntombi said that Mahamba had been in a relationship with her earlier in the year, but they broke up after a video surfaced showing them together. She ended the relationship for her safety and that of her children, whom she had with her Ugandan partner.
On the day of the incident, Mahamba and a group of Ugandan men visited Ntombi’s work premises. A confrontation occurred when Ntombi’s partner, angry after Mahamba allegedly damaged his vehicle, confronted Mahamba. The situation escalated, and Mahamba ended up being run over by the Ford Ranger. Ntombi recalled the events during a live Facebook session, explaining that she had been dating both men simultaneously. However, she ultimately decided to end her relationship with Mahamba after the confrontation.
