The Hindu Dharma Association of South Africa (Hindasa) Seva Foundation expresses serious worries regarding the outcomes of Baisaran’s recent terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 individuals and wounded additional residents through firing in the picturesque location.
Hindasa secretary Pradeep Ramlall indicated that the South African government issued a strong statement against this crime that targeted a premier tourist area of Kashmir. The terrorism targeting Kashmir will inevitably damage confidence about traveling to the region given its central role in the local economy according to Ramlall.
This violent incident worried travelers about their personal security because India and South Africa continue to develop their tourism relationships. The territory status transition of Kashmir under Article 370 led to a substantial growth of visitor numbers in the area.
Kashmir terror attack endanger the economic growth of the region
Thanks to tourism Kashmir experienced a major economic transformation but Ramlall asserted serious threats now exist to this economic growth. The people of Kashmir depend mainly on tourism which drives their economy because tourism remains their principal source of economic activity according to him.
He attributed the violent attack to Pakistan-based militant groups claiming these operatives conducted the operation as a means to destabilize the area. The region has transformed into a successful story according to him yet its achievements have also generated new types of hostility.
Ramlall declared that Pakistan trails behind India regarding all major economic measurements. India holds significant global power through its membership of G20 and BRICS and QUAD but Pakistan stands isolated from global affairs and regularly faces accusations about its border terrorism activities.
International support increases alongside demands for improving anti-terror efforts
Through his letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ramlall expressed the shared empathetic stance of the Girmitya community toward India. The South African people have unequivocally stated their rejection of this violent act according to the letter. The people along with government of India receive unbreakable support from our side.
Ramlall declared terrorism as a dangerous menace affecting humanity and demanded ongoing international cooperation to guard peace and stability globally. He conveyed his belief that the Modi government would enhance its anti-terror strategies along with actions to regain traveler confidence in Kashmir as a touristic spot.
