  • The public is encouraged to provide any information that could lead to the suspects’ arrest.

Police Discover Victims After Weeks of Search

Kwa Mhlanga, South Africa — The South African Police Service (SAPS) continues its search for two men linked to the journalist Aserie Ndlovu murder. The suspects also face accusations in the death of Ndlovu’s partner, Zodwa Mdhluli. Officers discovered the couple’s decomposed bodies on Thursday in a veld near Kwa Mhlanga.

Investigators first launched the search after the couple went missing on February 18, 2025. Forensic experts later confirmed their identities. This development brought closure to the weeks-long mystery surrounding their disappearance.

SAPS Names Suspects and Issues Urgent Appeal

SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe identified the suspects as 24-year-old Thato David Madisha and Sello “Skhalo” Uoane. She urged the pair to surrender at their nearest police station without delay.

“These individuals are wanted for the kidnapping and killing of Ndlovu and Mdhluli,” Mathe explained. “We believe they either played a direct role or have crucial information.”

She also noted that Uoane currently walks free on parole following a rape conviction. That fact has intensified the urgency of the manhunt.

SAPS Urges Public to Share Information

Meanwhile, law enforcement tracking teams remain active on the ground. SAPS continues to call for help from communities across the region.

“Anyone who knows where these suspects are should contact the lead investigator, Lt. Col. Maboko, at 072-030-2794,” said Mathe.

So far, officers have arrested five suspects. Three have already appeared in court. Notably, one of the detained individuals led police to the bodies’ location.

General Fannie Masemola, SAPS National Commissioner, confirmed that this tip led to the breakthrough. Therefore, officials emphasize that public assistance can be vital.

The journalist Aserie Ndlovu murder case remains a top national priority. Police vow to keep the public informed as the investigation progresses.
