NPA is pleased with the recent court ruling
The NPA supported and accepted the court’s verdict. The official spokesperson for the organization, Mthunzi Mhaga, confirmed that even though a small part of the court believed this was wrong, the majority maintained the legality of the action.
Last june, Judge Loubser dismissed a similar application by Magudumana in the High Court for the same reason. The trial will begin anytime within July to September 2025.
According to Mhaga, making preparations for the trial in Bloemfontein, to be held from July 21 to September 19, 2025, has already taken place. “Now, the NPA prosecutors will make sure that the trial moves forward without experiencing unnecessary delays,” he explained.
