Cape town woman shot dead, police investigation underway
Woodstock police personnel responded to a reported shooting and found Syms with severe gunshot wounds on her body according to Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
The reporting indicates that the unidentified suspect approached the victim in her presence before fleeing the location after discharging the weapon as Twigg explained.
The medical staff present at the scene pronounced Syms dead. The investigators have not established the reason for this attack while continuing to search for the responsible party.

Under the care of her father Ziyaad Williams Syms grew up as a prominent member of Cape Town’s Minstrel Fraternity and D Six Hanover Minstrels team owner.
