For a suspect in the shooting deaths of two men in KwaZakhele, Eastern Cape, police have begun a manhunt.
Gunfire erupts in Zwide, leaving two men dead
Authorities say the double homicide happened on Sakuba Street in Zwide on Friday night. After hearing several gunshots, witnesses said they saw a car leave the scene quickly.
According to Ewn, community members found the remains of two guys with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the pavement a short time later. Both victims were pronounced dead at the site, despite the fact that emergency personnel were called.
Police have not yet named any suspects in the shooting, and the purpose behind it is yet unknown. The public has been urged to come forward by the provincial crime investigation unit if they have any information regarding the case or the suspect’s whereabouts.
“The inquiry is still underway, and neither the motive nor the suspect have been identified. After their next of kin have been informed and have identified the remains, the identities of the deceased will be made public, according to police spokesperson Sandra Janse van Rensburg.
