The families of three missing police officers are calling for answers. The officers, Constables Keamogetswe Buys, Boipelo Senoge, and Cebekhulu Linda, were last seen traveling from Free State to Limpopo on Thursday.
They were in a Volkswagen Polo hatchback when they mysteriously vanished. The officers’ families, along with the South African Police Service (SAPS), have launched public appeals for their safe return.
Police Efforts and the Reward
SAPS is actively investigating the disappearance. Police spokesperson Timfon John confirmed the incident and noted that the search efforts are intensifying.
The National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, announced a R350,000 reward for information leading to the officers’ whereabouts.
SAPS continues to follow every lead, hoping to bring the officers home safely.
General Masemola emphasized that the force is committed to solving this case. The police will not rest until they have answers, he said.
The authorities have also reached out to the public, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Community Appeal and Support
The families have been vocal in their appeals. Lwazi Thepa, Buys’ husband, addressed the media, expressing his hope for his wife’s return.
“We pray for her to be brought back alive. Please help us,” he said. Other family members echoed similar sentiments, asking the public for assistance.
“We need everyone’s help to find them,” said one relative. Another family member criticized the lack of resources available at police stations.
They also urged the public to report anything suspicious. “We just want to see our loved ones again,” they added.
