DUNDEE, South Africa — A brutal Dundee robbery shooting unfolded Friday night in the Mzomusha area of Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal. The attack left four people dead, including a 14-year-old girl.
Gunmen Open Fire Outside Dundee Home
Two men, ages 31 and 35, stood outside a home when two suspects approached them. The attackers opened fire and killed both men instantly.
Suspects Demand Cash and Drugs Inside the House
After shooting the men outside, the gunmen entered the house. They found three more people inside.
According to KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Col. Robert Netshiunda, the suspects demanded money and drugs from a 29-year-old woman.
A struggle broke out between one of the suspects and the woman. During the fight, the gunman shot her multiple times. He then searched her body and took an undisclosed amount of money.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl was also inside. The suspects shot her repeatedly, and she died at the scene.
Survivors Escape Physical Harm
Two other people inside the house survived the shooting. One woman remained hidden throughout the incident. A man came out of another room after hearing gunfire. Fortunately, neither of them sustained any injuries.
Although police suspect robbery as the motive, they are not ruling out a drug-related feud. Investigators are actively examining all leads.
Police Launch Manhunt for Dundee Shooting Suspects
Police have begun an intensive manhunt for the two suspects. They are urging the public to come forward with any helpful information.
“Anyone with knowledge of the suspects’ whereabouts should contact the nearest police station. Alternatively, they can call the Crime Stop hotline at 08600 10111,” Netshiunda said.
The Dundee robbery shooting has shocked the local community. Authorities are determined to bring those responsible to justice.
