Multiple accounts confirm that six individuals were positioned together when two unknown individuals sought cigarettes from them.
After the attackers first departed the scene they returned quickly to order the victims to lie down before shooting them.

The fatal shooting caused six men to die at the scene yet only three women who remained survived.
