Police in Limpopo are out in full force hunting for two men after a rape, murder and house robbery took place.
Malamulele was the location of the horrible incident, said provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba.
Details of the crime committed
According to him it is alleged that “On Tuesday, at about 2:30am, a 43-year-old father of two victims was asleep inside his bedroom when he heard the door opening forcefully and unexpectedly he saw two unknown males covering their faces with balaclavas,” he said .
The intruders asked for money and cellphones while they aimed the gun at the father. However, the father gave the assailants only a cellphone without money after telling them that he had no money.
The two intruders tied the father with a rope and moved to other rooms in the house where they found the children sleeping.
Afterward, the 43-year old father heard several gunshots. He was able to free himself and ran to see the state of his children.
There Mashaba spoke: “The victim found his 20-year-old son lying on the floor, bleeding heavily with a gunshot wound on the forehead”.
One of the intruders also raped the father’s 17 year old daughter.
The armed intruders got away with some properties
“More so, the armed intruders escaped the scene with stolen properties of a cellphone, a laptop, a chainsaw, a television set, a bicycle and a grinder with an estimated value of R36,300,” said Mashaba.
They took the two victims to a local hospital for medical aid, however the son died due to the injuries.
In the meantime, Limpopo, as a provincial commissioner of police, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has dispatched across the province to deploy all resources at hand to chase the assailants.
