Police in the Leboeng neighborhood of the Sekhukhune district have been instructed by Limpopo Police Commissioner Lt-Gen. Thembi Hadebe to increase their efforts in the hunt for suspects in the murder of a 30-year-old man during an alleged mob justice attack.

Authorities are referring to the victim’s murder in Ga-Nkoana hamlet on Monday at approximately 6 p.m. as a case of mob justice. After being accused of stealing money from his grandfather, the man was allegedly attacked by neighbors.
According to Timeslives, when police went to reports of the event, they learned that a mob had brutally battered the man, according to Limpopo police spokesperson Col. Malesela Ledwaba. The victim allegedly guided the accused to the area where the pilfered funds were concealed in neighboring mountains during the assault.

The guy was taken to a local hospital under police protection after suffering severe injuries and bleeding heavily. He passed away from his wounds in spite of the medical staff’s best efforts.

Police conducted a manhunt for suspects in Tshalovha hamlet earlier this week, which was followed by another violent incident. A man who was caught trying to rape an elderly woman was allegedly beaten and burned by the suspects.
