Under Limpopo police supervision, two drug dealers aged 30 and 25 were captured after selling nyaope, crystal-meth, and rock cocaine to students who study at the University of Limpopo (UL) near its Gate 2 access.

According to the report, the police recovery from two suspects included 50 sachets alongside 550 sachets of nyaope combined with 30 sachets of crystal-meth and 35 pieces of rock cocaine. The confiscated drugs have an estimated market value of R31,250.
The police force conducts a heightened campaign against drug offenses
A 41-year-old female at Ga-Molekane Village received arrest from Mahwelereng police after officers discovered six crystal-meth sachets and 65 dagga sachets on her possession.
Law enforcement also detained a 62-year-old female resident of Armoed Village after finding 245 sachets of dagga along with 5kg of loose dagga in her possession.
Within the period of October 11, 2024 to January 31, 2025, National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola reported that police made 4,675 arrests for drug dealing combined with 27,376 arrests for drug possession across the nation.
The recent arrests take place within the Safer Festive Season operations that focus on fighting drug-related offenses in the area.
