The Lebowakgomo Police based in Limpopo attempt to gather information for the arrest of four attackers responsible for kidnapping then raping a 16-year-old girl inside the Apel policing area at Ga-Nkwana village.
Provincial Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba announced the night-time incident which took place on Wednesday from last week.
Details of the occurence of the incident
The investigation shows the victim was walking home from her local shop when a white Toyota Quantum with an unidentified registration number and four occupants pulled beside her according to Ledwaba.
Two out of four vehicle passengers stopped then compelled her to step into their transport. The suspects drove to an adjacent bush area for each of them to perpetrate rape on the victim.
Following the abuse the rapists transported the teenager through the white Toyota Quantum from the point of release back to the original pickup location. The criminals escaped from the location immediately after the incident. The authorities have established kidnapping cases while working to prove four offenses of rape.
None of the attacking perpetrators have been identified so far. Detectives request community members to share information that will enhance their investigation by contacting Ledwaba at the police department.

Another rape case that involved a teenager
Tebogo Hendrick Maphanga received an 18-year prison sentence when convicted for raping a 14-year-old girl during January.
The Limpopo courts issued a 50-year-old Limpopo man named Tebogo Hendrick Maphanga an 18-year prison sentence because he raped a 14-year-old girl.
Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Thakeng from the Limpopo police department stated Maphanga received his conviction at the Burgersfort Regional Court.
Thakeng revealed in court that this event occurred on July 22, 2022 when the 14-year-old victim came home to her residence at Praktiseer, Segorong Section while a man named the accused knocked on her door to buy cigarettes before she escorted him to her other room.
After following the teenager Maphanga forcefully pulled her down to the floor before using shoelaces to bind her hands.
