Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has appealed for calm after violence erupted in the Malamulele policing area as community members reacted to an incidence of heinous crime in the area.
Violent criminal acts committed at the police station
Police reported that they arrested one community member after violent criminal acts occurred at the Malamulele police station. They used rubber bullets to disperse the agitated crowds, and the arrested community member will face charges.

Police at Malamulele received information about another grim related incident on Wednesday night, where enraged community members assaulted four individuals suspected of committing the gruesome murder that occurred on Tuesday.
Sadly, one of the so-called suspects died, and police opened a case of murder, along with three cases of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, for further investigation, according to the police.
Massive manhunt launch for rape, murder and house robbery at a residence
Police in Limpopo launched a massive manhunt on Thursday for two men wanted for crimes including rape, murder, and house robbery at a residence.
As reported earlier by crime news, The appalling incident occurred in Malamulele where and a father and his children were sleeping at night and the intruders who forcefully opened the door wrecked havoc by raping his daughter and murdered his son.
Moreover, the suspects made off the scene with stolen properties such as a cellphone, a laptop, a chainsaw, a television set, a bicycle and a grinder valued at R36,300, said Mashaba. Both victims were rushed to the local hospital for medical attention, but the 20-year-old son succumbed to his injuries.

At the same time, media reports came out that violent protests broke out in the community, as the community sought justice for victims of crime. The provincial commissioner of police, Hadebe, has promised the enraged community that their systems are in place to curb this “horrific” incident.
She called the community to partner with the police. On Wednesday and Thursday, the Malamulele community presented memorandums during meetings with various stakeholders.
Hadebe said has the engagements ushered in a channel to stabilize the area while police probe into the crimes. The police have deployed all available resources in the area and will handle the problems raised in the memorandum as soon as possible.
