Zimbabwean businessman Maxwell Mlangeni is currently fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in a brutal attack outside his company’s premises in Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Mlangeni, the founder of Today’s Destiny Logistics, was rushed to the hospital following the shooting and remains in critical condition as medical professionals work tirelessly to stabilise him.
MSN reports that the attack occurred shortly after Mlangeni arrived at his business premises on Bethal Road in Witbank.
According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli, “Preliminary information suggests that three armed suspects approached his vehicle and opened fire while he was still inside. The suspects then fled the scene.”
Mlangeni was driving his Ferrari at the time of the attack, and the luxury car was left riddled with bullet holes, underscoring the severity of the assault.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local business community, with many questioning the safety of entrepreneurs in the region.
Authorities have launched an investigation, treating the case as attempted murder. However, the motive for the attack remains unclear, and no arrests have been made yet.
